Involuntary isolation must be used for example when a patient is suffering from infectious TB disease and has repeatedly interrupted treatment.
Is it possible to isolate a person against his or her will?
Yes, it is possible. According to Communicable Diseases Act, a decision for involuntary isolation can be done for two months at a time.
